Cross-country, ski jumping and Nordic combined races at the 2014 World Championships
A variety of races scheduled on the first week of February, 2014
Now it is official: the 2014 FIS Nordic Junior and Under 23 World Ski Championships will take place in Val di Fiemme – Italy. The official announcement was made last Saturday by the Nordic Ski Fiemme OC President Pietro De Godenz, who expressed his personal satisfaction and on behalf of his team. ‘This is a further opportunity for us’, De Godenz said, ‘to show our skills to the world and promote our valley. In two years (2013 and 2014) many people from all over the world will visit Val di Fiemme, and we surely welcome everybody with our usual warmness and professionalism’.
Whilst working hard at the preparation of the 2011 Tour de Ski leg (next January 8th-9th) and the 2013 FIS Nordic Ski World Championships, Italy’s Val di Fiemme proudly celebrates its fourth world championships, after the 1991, the 2003 and the 2013 ones.
The venues of the 2014 FIS Nordic Junior and Under 23 World Ski Championships will be the XC stadium in Lago di Tesero and the Ski Jumping arena in Predazzo, while the races should be taking place at the very beginning of February 2014, right after another big event such as the ‘Marcialonga’, the 70 km ski marathon through the Fiemme and Fassa valleys.
