Carla Breeze’s images, created from printed files, show matter as stretched and spread as in a preparation for histological testing: a transparent matter which light emphasises as colour and textures.
Since September 11th 2001, when she was not at home- a few steps away from WTC- with his husband Wayne, she devoted herself mainly to her artistic work.
She’s been always an attentive observer of American arts and crafts having a background as a professional photographer based in New York.
In 1979 she graduated in Art History at UNM and from1984 to 1998, both in New York and Albuquerque, she worked as a phoptographer, a writer and an artist exploring the relationship between light and matter.
